About the Journal
Revista Portuguesa de Terapia Ocupacional (RPTO)/ Portuguese Journal of Occupational Therapy (PJOT) is a bilingual (Portuguese and English) scientific journal published by the School of Health Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Leiria.
ISSN 2975-8181
It aims to promote and disseminate activities involving reflection, research and intervention in the fields of Human Occupation, Health, Rehabilitation, Education and related areas, thereby contributing to the consolidation and expansion of knowledge and practices within the scope of Occupational Therapy. It also seeks to include contributions to the Initial and Continuing Training of Occupational Therapists.
It consists of a continuous online publication of scientific articles intended as a means of disseminating and promoting scientific knowledge in occupational therapy, hoping to meet the needs of students, teachers and researchers. Each calendar year, special/supplementary issues may be published at the discretion of the editorial team and depending on the relevance of the corpus of material gathered.
RPTO/PJOT also proposes to develop thematic editions, as well as publish special editions in the form of short articles (up to six pages) from the proceedings of national and international scientific events on Occupational Therapy.
The journal aims to stand out for its criteria of relevance/pertinence, topicality and scientific rigour, relying on a team of nationally and internationally recognised experts who make up the Scientific Committee/Referee, in order to ensure rigour and quality.
